An exemplary use case would be if a large quantity of items are imported into Shopware via an external interface or inventory management system, and the interface does not offer the possibility of creating variants. In this case, different colors or versions of a product must be created as individual items in Shopware. However, these are rarely displayed grouped in the item listing, making it difficult for the customer to see which items are also available in other colors, for example.
With the Virtual Variants plugin, you can virtually link these items via an item attribute and thus provide customers with an easy way to access other versions.
