Virtual variants are created automatically when a previously defined product attribute is identical across multiple products.
Example: You want to display multiple color variations of a product grouped together in the frontend. The simplest way to achieve this is to introduce another product attribute, such as the manufacturer product number.
It is important that all products that are to be displayed together have exactly the same value in that attribute field.
