Editing Document Templates

You can completely customize the content and appearance of the invoice and delivery note templates in the Shopware backend.

1. Changing logo and text

The basic content of the document templates can be customized in the Shopware backend. To do this, click on Settings → Basic Settings → Shop Settings → PDF Document Generation.

In the middle column you will now see the available document templates. Select either Invoice or Delivery Note to edit. You can then customize the contents of the documents on the right side of the window.

AutoInvoice currently works exclusively with the already created templates Invoice and Delivery Note. Creating additional templates has no effect on the plugin's functionality.

Also: If you have deleted one of the standard templates, the plugin will no longer function properly. In this case, read the Troubleshooting article.

2. Further customization options for templates

You will find the invoice and delivery note templates on the FTP server in the directory /themes/Frontend/Bare/documents relative to your Shopware installation. To edit the files, copy these files to your own Shopware theme in the documents folder so that your changes are not overwritten by a future Shopware update.

File nameDescription
index.tplInvoice template
index_ls.tplDelivery note template

In the newly copied template files, you can make further changes or, for example, add another page with terms and conditions or similar.
